Iron Man
This 2008 American superhero movie is based on the Marvel Comics with the same title. The story revolves around Tony Stark, a billionaire master engineer and industrialist who has built a powered exoskeleton and assumed the identity of “Iron Man”. The Matrix
Released in 1999, this science fiction-action movie is about a simulated reality made by sentimental machines to subdue and pacify the population of humans as they use the latter’s body heat and electrical activities as a source of energy. Neo, a computer programmer, was drawn into a resistance against the machines when he learned about this. Keanu Reeves stars in the film along with Carrie-Ann Moss, Hugo Weaving, Laurence Fishburne and Joe Pantoliano.
Transformers
This film is a film adaptation of the Transformers franchise. Released in 2007, this live-action thriller based its story on the war between the protagonist Autobots and the antagonist Decepticons, two groups of alien robots that could transform themselves into ordinary everyday machines used by humans.
Terminator
This is a 1984 sci-fi action movie which was co-written and directed by James Cameron of “Titanic” fame. It was distributed by Orion Pictures and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator. This was followed by three sequels. The story is about a cyborg assassin who has been sent back to exterminate the human race. The Terminator’s primary mission is to kill Sarah Connor, a character played by Linda Hamilton, whose son John Connor, will lead a rebellion against the machines in the future. Kyle Reese who is a human (played by Michael Biehn) is also sent back to protect Sarah.
Tron
This American science fiction movie was released in 1982 by Walt Disney Pictures. Jeff Bridges played the lead character Kevin Flynn. Steven Lisberger had written and directed the film. Tron is considered as one of the first films from a significant studio to employ computer graphics in an extensive manner.
